EWIE Attends SYSU School of Continuing Education 2025 Alumni Gala and Receives “Outstanding Corporate Partner Award”

On January 11, 2026, the 2025 Annual Alumni Gala of the School of Continuing Education, Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) was held in Guangzhou, China. East & West International Education Group (EWIE) attended the event as an invited partner, with Ms. Haixia Yan, General Manager of EWIE’s Wuhan Center, representing the Group.

The Gala brought together nearly 1,000 alumni, learners, university leaders, and partner representatives. Professor Kaiping Peng, Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Director of the Department of Psychology at Tsinghua University, delivered a keynote lecture on well-being and personal growth, which received strong engagement from the audience.

Professor Xiaozhong He, Dean of the School of Continuing Education at SYSU, highlighted the important role of continuing education in China’s lifelong learning system. Since its reorganization in 2022 as the University’s non-degree education operating entity, the School has entered a stage of high-quality development and continues to support SYSU’s “Double First-Class” initiative.

In 2025, EWIE successfully launched and operated the IFC (International Foundation Certificate) Program at SYSU’s Guangzhou East Campus. With its well-structured curriculum, high-quality teaching services, and strong student outcomes, the program received high recognition from the School, and EWIE was awarded the “Outstanding Corporate Partner Award.”

The IFC International Foundation Program is one of EWIE’s core programs, dedicated to supporting Chinese students in progressing to leading universities worldwide. This collaboration reflects both SYSU’s academic strengths and EWIE’s continued commitment to international education and lifelong learning.

Looking ahead, EWIE will continue to deepen its cooperation with Sun Yat-sen University in non-degree international education programs and jointly explore high-quality, innovative, and internationalized education pathways, contributing to global talent development in the Greater Bay Area and beyond.
