Attracting Global Talent and Pooling Resources
Bringing together the world’s educational elite
1. Introducing advanced education service systems and ideas
EWIE adheres to the strategic policy of “attracting global talent and pooling resources” and is committed to gathering high-quality educational resources from around the world. Over the years, EWIE has continuously introduced advanced systems and ideas in international education services, covering student management, teaching quality assurance, learning support, and more, aiming to provide Chinese students with a comprehensive international education experience. These introduced systems and ideas combine the best of Chinese and Western education while closely following global education trends, laying a solid foundation for students’ all-round development. By continuously updating and optimizing its educational offerings, EWIE ensures that its programs remain internationally competitive. At the same time, EWIE emphasizes the localization of these advanced international ideas to better adapt to the Chinese educational environment and student needs, achieving integration of global standards and local practices. Additionally, EWIE has introduced innovative teaching methods and evaluation systems, such as project-based learning and interdisciplinary integrated teaching, to cultivate students’ critical thinking and innovation capabilities.
2. Bringing together education experts from home and abroad
In talent acquisition, EWIE actively recruits outstanding experts and scholars from both China and abroad. These experts include not only foreign educators with extensive experience in international education but also Chinese Professors who have achieved remarkable accomplishments in overseas academic circles. They bring advanced international perspective, and valuable practical experience to EWIE, significantly enhancing its teaching and research quality. Meanwhile, EWIE focuses on nurturing local international talent through mentorship programs, promoting the integration of international educational concepts with local practices. EWIE has also established a robust talent development system, regularly organizing teachers to participate in international academic exchanges and professional development programs to continuously improve the international competence of its faculty. Furthermore, EWIE actively builds cooperative relationships with internationally renowned universities and educational institutions, creating more opportunities for teachers to engage with advanced international educational ideas and methods through faculty exchanges and short-term programs.
3. Study in China – “InChina”
The East & West InChina Program is an international academic initiative targeting foreign undergraduate students currently enrolled in universities. It offers a unique Chinese learning experience and cross-cultural communication opportunities. Students will enroll as exchange students at prestigious Chinese universities, completing 16 transferable credit hours, including Chinese language courses, academic seminars, and elective courses across multiple disciplines. Through deep collaboration with leading domestic universities, students not only benefit from high-quality course instruction but also participate in rich extracurricular activities, field trips, and cultural experiences. The program features specially designed courses spanning ancient to modern topics, such as “The Silk Road and Contemporary Business: China’s Global Business Strategy,” helping students gain a deep understanding of China’s history, culture, and modern development. The program provides generous scholarship support to all students, making it an attractive study-abroad option with its high-quality academic content and immersive cultural experiences. After completing a semester of coursework, students can also choose to participate in internship opportunities in China offered by East & West Laowai Career, gaining valuable workplace experience.
4. Launch of the “Scholars Hub” Project
To further expand top-tier academic resources, EWIE has launched the “Scholars Hub” project. This initiative aims to meet the needs of Chinese students to establish their presence on the world’s top academic platforms and has established close collaborations with the Association of British Chinese Professors (ABCP) and other overseas academic institutions. Supported by doctoral supervisors from international universities as academic advisors, the “Scholars Hub” project has built a rich academic resource network and extensive Professor connections. Through in-depth analysis of the latest developments in doctoral programs across various fields, the project provides accurate and efficient doctoral application support for students aspiring to further their studies, effectively promoting the cultivation of top innovative talent.
