UBC Okanagan Campus Establishes Formal Partnership with EWIE

On January 20, 2026, representatives from the University of British Columbia (UBC) Okanagan Campus visited Beijing. Mr. WANG Wei, President of East & West International Education Group (EWIE), received the delegation and extended a warm welcome. During the visit, both sides officially announced the establishment of a strategic partnership.

The UBC Okanagan delegation was led by Dr. Gurneet Anand, Senior Advisor, International Relations, and Ms. Dayna Li, Director of Global Engagement.

During the discussions, both parties explored potential directions for deeper collaboration and expressed strong enthusiasm for the prospects of their partnership. On behalf of EWIE, Mr. Wang stated,
“We are honored to establish a partnership with the world-class UBC Okanagan Campus. This collaboration will not only broaden Chinese students’ access to international higher education but also contribute to the continuous enhancement of global education quality.”

The two sides focused on practical aspects of joint student recruitment and conducted in-depth consultations on undergraduate and graduate program cooperation. Looking ahead, both parties aim to build a more efficient and transparent admission process and explore diverse models such as joint training programs and credit recognition, providing students with higher-quality and more convenient pathways to further study.

Representatives from UBC Okanagan praised EWIE for its expertise and extensive experience in international education. They emphasized that this partnership will attract more outstanding Chinese students to Canada and promote cross-cultural exchange and academic collaboration.

This meeting marks a milestone in the deep integration of both parties in international talent development and educational cooperation, opening a new chapter for shared growth.
