On 12 September 2026, Mr Wang Wei, President of East & West International Education Group (EWIE), was invited to attend the University of Reading’s 100th anniversary celebration in Beijing, where he was warmly welcomed by Professor Robert Van de Noort, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Reading, Dr Caroline Baylon, Vice-President for International Affairs, and Professor May Tan-Mullins of the University of Reading Malaysia.

Mr Wang extended his sincere congratulations to the University on its centenary and thanked the University for its generous invitation and thoughtful hospitality. The two sides held a cordial and friendly meeting.

During the meeting, both parties held in-depth discussions on cooperation in areas including joint education programmes, and expressed their hope of advancing collaboration on the relevant projects to build an even closer partnership.

The meeting further strengthened the friendly relationship between EWIE, the University of Reading and the University of Reading Malaysia, and will help both sides deepen their work in international education and jointly nurture high-quality, globally minded talent.
