On the evening of October 24, 2025, the University of Southampton hosted a dinner reception in Beijing. Mr. WANG Wei, President of East & West International Education Group (EWIE), was invited to attend and engaged in in-depth exchanges with several senior representatives from the university, bringing new momentum to the collaboration between the two institutions. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the “Outstanding Recruitment Partner Award” to EWIE, in recognition of the Group’s achievements in educational cooperation. President WANG Wei accepted the award on behalf of EWIE.

The dinner gathered key figures from multiple departments and faculties of the University of Southampton. During the event, President WANG Wei held friendly and constructive discussions with Professor Phillip Wright, Senior Vice-President; Professor Stephan Onggo, Associate Dean of the Southampton Business School; and Professor Corrado Giulietti, Head of the School of Economic, Social and Political Sciences. He also introduced EWIE’s international programs — the International Foundation Certificate (IFC), International Year One (IYO), and International Pre-Master Program (IPMP) — to the university’s senior leadership team, further deepening mutual understanding of program development and progression pathways. Both sides exchanged views on global education development trends and future cooperation models, laying a solid foundation for further collaboration in international education projects and talent development.

Receiving the “Outstanding Recruitment Partner Award” represents the University of Southampton’s high recognition of EWIE’s past achievements and marks a new chapter of closer cooperation between the two institutions. As a long-term advocate of international education exchange, EWIE will continue to strengthen its global partnerships, expand international program development, and provide Chinese students with greater access to world-class educational resources and opportunities.
