EWIE President Wang Wei Attends University of Leeds Vice-Chancellor’s Dinner in Shanghai
On 28 March 2026, Mr Wang Wei, President of East & West International Education Group (EWIE), attended the Vice-Chancellor’s Dinner hosted by University of Leeds in Shanghai. The dinner was hosted by Professor Hai-Sui Yu, who extended the invitation and presided over the event, bringing together senior faculty representatives to welcome partners and guests. During the dinner, Mr Wang held in-depth discussions with Professor Yu and faculty leaders on future collaboration. The two sides exchanged views on integrating strengths, enhancing the quality of joint programmes, and exploring new areas of cooperation. Both parties agreed to further strengthen communication and collaboration in the new academic year, and to jointly explore innovative approaches to international talent development. The event not only reinforced the partnership between EWIE and the University of Leeds, but also laid a solid foundation for broader and deeper cooperation in the future.

EWIE and the University of Dundee Explore Opportunities to Deepen Cooperation
On 19 March 2026, Mr Wang Wei, President of East & West International Education Group (EWIE), met with Mr Jason Norris, Director of Global Engagement at University of Dundee, and his delegation at EWIE’s Beijing headquarters. The two sides reviewed the achievements of their collaboration over the past year and held productive discussions on further strengthening cooperation in the future. Mr Wang warmly welcomed the delegation and provided an overview of EWIE’s business development and strategic focus. During the meeting, both parties reflected on the positive progress made in student recruitment collaboration and the recognition of EWIE-related programmes. Through joint efforts, the partnership has delivered fruitful outcomes, creating favourable opportunities for more Chinese students to pursue further studies at the University of Dundee. EWIE and University of Sussex Explore New Avenues for Collaboration
On 17 March 2026, Mr Wang Wei, Chairman of East & West International Education Group (EWIE), met with Professor Simon Thompson, Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) at the University of Sussex, at EWIE’s Beijing headquarters. The visit was accompanied by Mr Marcus Williams, Director of Student Recruitment and International Affairs at the University. During the meeting, Mr Wang extended a warm welcome to Professor Thompson and his delegation, and provided an overview of EWIE’s development in the field of international education, including its core business areas and extensive partnership network across China. Both parties reviewed their existing cooperation and engaged in in-depth and constructive discussions on future opportunities. Key areas of interest included student mobility, academic research collaboration, pathway programmes, and the development of high-level talent. This meeting has laid a solid foundation for further strengthening the strategic partnership between EWIE and the University of Sussex. Both sides expressed their shared commitment to enhancing collaboration and promoting greater exchange and integration between China and the UK in higher education, with the aim of providing students with high-quality international education opportunities and services.

EWIE President Wei Wang Attends University of Manchester Alumni Dinner in Beijing
On 16 March 2026, Mr Wang Wei , President of East & West International Education Group (EWIE), was invited to attend the University of Manchester Alumni Dinner in Beijing. The event brought together distinguished guests from the UK and China’s education sectors, including Professor Duncan Ivison and senior representatives from the University’s international office. During the dinner, guests shared insights on the current landscape of UK–China international education. Mr Wang also met with Professor Ivison and other university representatives to discuss opportunities for potential collaboration. All parties agreed that, in the context of the ongoing internationalisation of higher education, fostering connections and exchange between institutions helps enhance students’ global perspective and interdisciplinary development. The event provided an opportunity to strengthen connections between EWIE and the University and explore potential areas for future collaboration.
